How This Journal Works.
The editorial standards of Arenos Journal are its primary accountability. This page describes how articles are researched, framed, and written — and what this journal will and will not claim.
The Editorial Position
Arenos Journal is an independent editorial publication focused on the documented habits, routines, and nutritional awareness of active men. It is not a wellness publication, a product review platform, or a prescriptive advice service. The editorial position is documentary: the journal observes, records, and contextualises what the published research says, then presents it in a readable, non-prescriptive form.
This distinction shapes everything about how articles are written. Arenos Journal does not recommend specific intake amounts, timing protocols, or product selections. It does not tell readers what to do. It documents what the published research observes and what active men in structured daily routines report. The gap between these two categories — published research and lived experience — is where the most interesting editorial work happens.
Primary Sources
All factual claims about nutritional compounds made in Arenos Journal articles are drawn from or cross-referenced against peer-reviewed publications accessible through standard academic databases: PubMed, the Cochrane Library, the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, and comparable sources in the nutritional sciences literature. Where a claim cannot be traced to a primary source, it is not published.
Secondary sources — review articles, meta-analyses, qualified practitioner commentary — are used to contextualise primary findings but are not treated as equivalent to original research. Where the secondary source is a popular summary rather than a peer-reviewed document, this is noted explicitly in the article.
Language and Register
The journal's editorial register is reportorial rather than prescriptive. This means specific linguistic choices are maintained across all published articles:
- ■ The research observes rather than the research proves — findings are described in terms of what was documented, not absolute conclusions.
- ■ Supports rather than causes or produces — the mechanisms described are correlational where the research is correlational.
- ■ Active men as the subject — the journal focuses on a specific, non-independent population and does not extrapolate to independent or general health contexts.
- ■ Qualified statements throughout — findings presented with qualifiers that reflect the actual confidence level of the underlying research.
Independence and Conflicts of Interest
Arenos Journal does not receive compensation from supplement manufacturers, distributors, or retailers in exchange for editorial content. No article on this site has been written at the request of a commercial entity, and no product featured in an editorial context has been provided free of charge with an expectation of coverage.
Where products are mentioned by name, they are mentioned in the context of describing a category of compound or form of nutrient — not as a commercial endorsement. Any material relationship between the journal and a named entity — past or future — will be disclosed in any article where that entity is mentioned.
wellness Disclaimer
Nothing published on this site constitutes wellness advice, and nothing on this site should be interpreted as a recommendation to begin, modify, or discontinue any supplementation or nutritional protocol. Active men with specific health considerations — existing wellness conditions, prescribed medications, pregnancy, or conditions that affect metabolism or absorption — are strongly encouraged to consult a qualified health professional before adjusting their nutritional habits.
The information published on Arenos Journal is accurate to the best of the editorial team's knowledge at the time of publication, and is drawn from published research. It does not replace independent or professional guidance, and readers who rely on it without independent professional advice do so at their own discretion.
Corrections Policy
Errors in published articles are corrected promptly and transparently. When a factual correction is made, the date of correction and the nature of the error are noted within the article itself. Corrections to wording, tone, or clarity that do not change the factual content of an article may be made without notation at the editorial team's discretion.
Readers who identify a potential error in a published article are invited to correspond with the editorial team at [email protected]. All correction requests are reviewed, and responses are provided within two working days.
Publication Frequency and Scope
Arenos Journal publishes on a schedule determined by editorial quality rather than volume. Articles are published when they meet the evidence and language standards described on this page — not to a fixed calendar. The journal's scope is the documented intersection of supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and daily active routines for men in urban Indonesia, with editorial observations that may be relevant to comparable active populations elsewhere.
The journal does not cover independent populations, competitive sports nutrition at elite levels, or wellness supplementation in wellness-focused contexts. These subjects fall outside the editorial scope and would require a different level of qualification and oversight than this independent publication provides.
